Salka Valsdóttir performs her first solo concert in two years at Salurinn on October 18th.

Salka creates music that blends dreamy and melodic textures with harsh and digital distortions. With her music, she paints dynamic soundscapes where the digital and the analog constantly interact.
Salka has worked as a musician in Iceland for over a decade and has been prominent in the bands CYBER and Reykjavíkurdætur, in addition to composing music for theater and television both in Iceland and elsewhere in Europe.

Salka will be joined by a fine ensemble: Magnús Jóhann (piano, keyboards, synthesizers), Tumi Árnason (saxophone), and Hekla Magnúsdóttir (theremin).

Magnús Jóhann will open the concert.
