Farao Shares New Single 'Waiting For You'

Norwegian producer Farao has shared inspiring new song 'Waiting For You'.

The electronic musician – real name Kari Jahnsen – has released two albums as a member of Ultraflex, a disco duo who won acclaim by overhauling vintage tropes from fresh vantage points.

The past year has seen the Nordic talent focussing on something more personal, and her work as Farao is the result.

Out now, ‘Waiting For You’ is still loosely disco, but the vaporised production style opens up room for sensual digitalism, and the ambience of spiritual jazz.

Lyrically, the song displays a palpable yearning for connection – it’s about seeking out someone you lost, and willing them back in to your life.

“I wrote ‘Waiting For You’ to dance with the shadow of someone I lost. The kick is my pacemaker, the synths are tears of joy in waveform, and a funky disco bass just makes life worth living.”
